BBC series up against the return of
Netflix drama The Crown and ITV’s I’m a Celebrity
The Sunday night TV battle is heating up just as the cold weather begins to sweep across much of the country. The BBC’s long-anticipated sci-fi series War of the Worlds, the Netflix drama The Crown and ITV’s I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here! will all be premiering or returning on what is a big weekend for
British television.
War of the Worlds, the latest adaptation of HG Wells’s book, stars Eleanor Tomlinson, Rafe Spall, Robert Carlyle and Rupert Graves and premieres on Sunday night. It has been described by the Radio Times as “compelling” and received five stars from the Daily Mail.
