Ariana Grande and
James Corden will never let go.
The singer appeared on "
The Late Late Show with James Corden" Monday night for a live, one-take
musical version of "
Titanic" as Rose opposite Corden's Jack. Or, as Corden put it, "we've got 13 songs, nine sets, one take and zero pressure."
The performance began with Grande boarding the Titanic, singing Styx's "Come Sail Away" (in full early-1900s getup, but not without her signature high pony).
Later on, Corden sang Ed Sheeran's "Shape of You" in a (CBS-appropriate) recreation of the "paint me like one of your French girls" scene.
Never one to shy away from a Celine Dion cover, Grande finished with a "My Heart Will Go On" duet.
"Oh man! I'll never forget the moment we decided to try it," Corden later tweeted to Grande. "Thanks for making me do it!!!!!!
"Crushed it w the prettiest placement too," Grande responded. "pls have me back like every day. love u. thank u !"
Grande is also set to appear in a "Carpool Karaoke" segment Wednesday – she apparently injured her hand while filming the segment last week, posting a photo on Twitter with a bandage wrapped around her hand with the caption "HAHAHHAAHAHHAAHHAAH I'm AN IDIOT"
