ARSENAL and Liverpool played out a six-goal thriller at the Emirates as both sides shared the points.
Liverpool took the lead after 26 minutes through Philippe Coutinho after he headed past Simon Mignolet from Mohamed Salah’s cross.
The Reds doubled their lead shortly after half-time as the Egyptian converted from close range after some neat work from Roberto Firmino.
Less than a minute later, Alexis Sanchez pulled one back for Arsenal with a diving header after some sloppy defending from Joe Gomez.
Then on 56 minutes, Granit Xhaka scored a screamer from distance that went straight through Simon Mignolet.
Xhaka’s shot was hit straight through the middle from 25 yards but replays shows Mignolet should have got two hands to it.
Arsenal’s resurgence continued as two minutes later Mesut Ozil fired the Gunners in front after a neatly worked one-two with Alexandre Lacazette.
However, Firmino had the final say as he found some space inside the box and his powerful shot was enough to find a way past Cech.
