For an Arkansas program that is usually led by a multitude of experienced players, Nolan Souza is a massive outlier. The freshman DH led Arkansas to a series sweep of Ole Miss on Saturday, collecting five RBI on the day. In fact, it was Souza who got the scoring started in Arkansas' 7-4 win. Have a day, @NolanSouza808 ! pic.twitter.com/eN2VEn0nEM Souza saved his best act for last, however. With the game tied at three, the Razorbacks had two men on base with nobody out. With an even 2-2 count, Souza absolutely blasted a ball into right-center. The rest, as they say, is history. GO AHEAD THEN NOLAN!!! pic.twitter.com/Xo5pCk4Nfu Souza's three-run moonshot put Arkansas ahead 6-3, and the Hogs would add to the lead later in the inning. While Ole Miss scratched home a run in the top of the ninth, Will McEntire and the Razorbacks held on for their third SEC sweep. The win puts Arkansas at 27-3 overall, with a league-leading 11-1 mark in SEC play after four SEC series. Arkansas' next two contests are midweek games against San Jose State. After the two-game stint against the Spartans, the Razorbacks will travel to Tuscaloosa to face
Alabama. Despite a strong 10-0 start to the season, the Crimson Tide is just 12-9 in its last 21 games, including a paltry 4-7 mark in conference play. Needless to say, it won't get any easier with the No. 1 team in the country coming to town next weekend.
