Women star Stacey, 34, and her crack team help families transform their homes on the BBC One show. With a life -changing declutter , they upcycle and recycle their way to a new home and in the latest episode, the team headed to
Scotland to help a family with three young kids in their chaotic household. The mum of the household, Charlie, revealed that she works full-time while her husband Keith looks after their three kids at home. However, while Charlie is away at work, there's not much housework done at home by Keith so is busy taking care of their brood. The busy house is full of clutter, including endless toys and clothes, which makes it hard for the family to even move around their own home. Unfortunately for mum-of-three Charlie, she had to go back to work just three months after having her youngest child, meaning that Keith took some time off work to look after their kids. It seemed that Keith was prioritising the kids, and scrapped any form of housework. This left Stacey worried because of the state of the home and the environment in which their kids were growing up. Sort Your Life Out viewers hit out at stay at home dad Keith ( Image: BBC) Stacey was left fuming over the seemingly endless clutter as she told Sort Your Life Out viewers: "We have opened the loft, we have opened the three sheds, and every single room in the house is full. I don't know if we're promising too much. I am genuinely scared for this one, I'm nervous." When the team had a look around, they found 131 pairs of shoes, 29 tins of paint, 30 remote controls, 22 toothbrushes, and 500 items of baby clothes. Keith had 144 t-shirts, and when Stacey asked him if he wanted to know what she thought, he said: "Not really." This appeared to annoy Stacey, who hit back by saying: "I think that if we go to between 12 and 15 that is more than enough t-shirts." Later, Stacey assisted Keith in sorting through the t-shirts and discovered one that read: "Your mum would love me." Keith informed her: "That was my pulling t-shirt but it never worked." Stacey's disgust was evident as she remarked: "Come on Keith, you're better than that." Keith subsequently disclosed to viewers how he declared bankruptcy after losing his
Job during the recession . He now invests his money in collectible coins, hoping that the silver content will appreciate in value over time, allowing him to pass them on to his children. Co-host Dilly intervened as Keith attempted to prevent the team from discarding the mass amount of children's clothing cluttered over the whole house. Dilly advised: "Keith, remember, you're returning to work next week, and you won't have time to sort clothes every night after work. This is your chance to adjust your habits and realize that having fewer clothes per child makes it easier to locate items." Stacey and her team transformed the home for the young family ( Image: BBC) BBC viewers quickly detected the tension and urged Keith to grow up and change his behavior. One eagle-eyed viewer took to X, formerly known as
Twitter to write: "Keith is really testing even Stacey's patience #sortyourlifeout," while another echoed: "Stacey is ready to swing for him". Someone else fumed: "Stay at home dad. Stay at home and do nothing. He's bone idle while that poor woman and new mum goes to work." Another echoed: "He's clearly trying his best but he could try harder. So she works 5 jobs, returning 12 weeks after giving birth... and he sits at home amongst all that s*** most of which is his." Another viewer added: "Stay at Home Dad has clearly not been pulling his weight #Sortyourlifeout." Defending himself, Keith said: "Charlie pretends she's okay with it, but I know that a lot of the problems are me and it's probably quite selfish. I know it's causing a strain on her mentally and emotionally. It's always hard to admit you need help with anything." Thankfully, it all worked out for the pair who were delighted with the changes Stacey and her team made. The cluttered bedrooms were transformed into lovely, bright spaces, including a home office and a shared bedroom for two of their little boys and the messy sunroom was turned into a big play area for all three children.
