'He can still talk about the case': Fox News host corrects Trump gag order lies
Apr 07, 2024
Fox News host Howard Kurtz reminded Trump campaign press secretary Karoline Leavitt that her boss could still talk about his hush-money case even though a judge put a limited gag order in place. While speaking to Leavitt on Sunday, Kurtz noted that former President Donald Trump had said he was willing to go to jail after Judge Juan Merchan prevented him from talking about court staff or the judge's family. "If this partisan hack wants me to put, wants to put me in the clink for speaking the open, obvious truth, I will gladly become a modern-day Nelson Mandela," Trump wrote about the gag order, Kurtz reported. "So why is he comparing himself to Mandela?" the Fox News host asked. "And is he now worried about going to jail in this case?" "No, not at all," Leavitt insisted. "Truth will ultimately prevail in this case and in all of the cases. The Democrats want President Trump confined to a courtroom." "Unfortunately, he'll have to be on trial in a dark, dirty New York City courtroom because Alvin Bragg is a far-left district attorney who has spent more time persecuting President Trump than prosecuting real violent criminals on the streets of New York," she continued. "President Trump is exposing the truth in all of these Biden-led witch hunts." ALSO READ: Inside the neo-Nazi hate network grooming children for a race war Leavitt attributed the gag orders to Democrats who want to "silence" Trump. "And that's exactly why you see these gag orders coming down," she opined. "Not only are they prosecuting him, but they want to silence him." "It's a complete violation of his First Amendment rights." Kurtz ended the interview with a correction. "He can still talk about the case," the Fox News host said. "But I'm glad to have your response on that." Watch the video below from Fox News or at the link

'Nod to the judge': Trump aide says ex-president just tried to 'sway' Judge Cannon
Apr 05, 2024
Donald Trump is purportedly using flattery to help pave the way to freedom. On Thursday, former President Donald Trump played U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon's ardent defender, calling her "highly respected" after she came under criticism by Special Counsel Jack Smith. "Deranged 'Special' Counsel Jack Smith, who has a long record of failure as a prosecutor, including a unanimous decision against him in the U.S. Supreme Court, should be sanctioned or censured for the way he is attacking a highly respected Judge, Aileen Cannon, who is presiding over his FAKE Documents Hoax case in Florida," the former president wrote in a post on his social media platform, Truth Social.ALSO READ: 'Outlooks mediocre or worse': Trump Media investors warned off in alarming Forbes analysisSmith's court filing earlier this week beat back Cannon's move to postpone a decision until a jury is impaneled to "rest on an unstated and fundamentally flawed legal premise." Cannon has faced questions of favoritism after she has decided that Trump's motion for dismissal based on a widely panned theory that he had autonomy under the Presidential Records Act (PRA) holds or sinks after a trial begins, thereby nixing any chance for the government to seek remedies because it would create a double-jeopardy situation. Trump, who is the Republican presumptive nominee in the upcoming election, is facing three dozen charges involving the mishandling of classified documents that he took with him from the White House to Mar-a-Lago and for obstruction the government's effort to recover them. He has pleaded not guilty. While appearing on CNN's "Out Front" Alyssa Farah Griffin, who's served as White House Communications Director under President Donald Trump, peeled back Trumpworld's curtain to say that his genuflecting is intentional. "He wants to prejudice the public or his supporters against judges he doesn't like and he wants to make them favorable to the ones that he does [like]," she said. "But also it's a nod to the judge.""I mean, it's very similar to one of his attorneys referring to Brett Kavanaugh when he's going to be ruling on immunity, saying Trump appointed him so we think he'll be with us."In fact, Griffin said that it's a common move to cozy up to wishful allies."This is something that they do and kinda put out there publicly in hopes of swaying the judges in their favor," she said. "Now of course, judges should be unbiased; that shouldn't affect them — but that's what he's thinking and saying this."Watch below or click the link here.

'Giant hypocrite' Kid Rock brutally mocked for wearing Budweiser hat to Fox News interview

MAGA singer Kid Rock on Thursday accidentally wore a Budweiser hat to an interview with Fox News.Kid Rock, who has frequently aligned with the far-right and was known to interact with Donald Trump during his term in the Oval Office, appeared on The Ingraham Angle, where he was asked about his hat. The far-right staged a boycott of Anheuser Busch and particularly Bud Light following an ad campaign featuring transgender woman Dylan Mulvaney. Kid Rock helped promote this boycott, but as the outrage died down, he appeared to lose interest in it — and commenters on social media buried him in mockery over it.ALSO READ: 'Outlooks mediocre or worse': Trump Media investors warned off in alarming Forbes analysisBuzz Jackson, @BuzzJackson, said, "Looks like Kid Rock and Budweiser are friends again." 'Reprehensible': Hush money prosecutor demands stricter gag order against Trump
Apr 01, 2024
The prosecutor in former President Donald Trump's criminal hush money case Monday demanded a stricter gag order to clamp down on his "dangerous, violent, and reprehensible rhetoric," court records show. Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg filed his motion to New York City Justice Juan Merchan, whose daughter has been the subject of repeated attacks from Trump on his social media site Truth Social, according to court records."[Trump's] dangerous, violent, and reprehensible rhetoric fundamentally threatens the integrity of these proceedings and is intended to intimidate witnesses and trial participants alike—including this Court," Bragg wrote. ALSO READ: No, Donald Trump, fraud is not protected by the First Amendment"This Court can and should clarify or extend the Order to protect family members of the Court on the record described below, and should warn defendant that any future disregard of the Order will result in sanctions."Bragg's demand comes after Trump's attorneys argued Merchan's daughter was fair game for character attacks because she had engaged in political speech, noted reporter Adam Klasfield, among the first to spot the new filing."But Bragg calls this a 'fig leaf' and a 'fiction,' rejected by a state judicial ethics committee last year," Klasfield wrote. Trump, who has pleaded not guilty to 34 counts of falsifying business records, is slated to see his trial begin in mid-April, court records show. Bragg contends Trump illegally funneled cash to adult film star Stormy Daniels ahead of the 2016 presidential election. This is one of three criminal court cases Trump faces linked to charges of election interference, the other two pertaining to his actions between the 2020 presidential election and Jan. 6, 2021. On Monday, Bragg rebutted the former president's claim that his social media attacks were his constitutional right.""Defendant’s claim of a constitutional right to levy personal attacks on family members is as disturbing as it is wrong," Bragg wrote.

'Tighten the gag order': Experts react to Trump's latest outburst
Mar 31, 2024
New York Judge Juan Merchan — who's presiding over Donald Trump's hush money case — imposed a gag order on the ex-president last week which included banning him from attacking witnesses, prosecutors and jurors. However, it left out the judge and his family — and Trump has taken advantage of that.On Saturday night, Trump launched into his fourth attack on the judge’s daughter Loren Merchan for her ties to a political consultancy, which he claims makes the case against him biased. He wrote, “This is a disgrace to our Legal System. Judge Merchan should be immediately sanctioned and recused, and this fake 'case,' only kept alive by the Highly Conflicted Judge, should be completely dismissed right away - THERE IS NO CASE, THERE IS NO CRIME."Andy McCarthy, Jonathan Turley, and all Legal Experts and Scholars universally agree that this is a case that should have never been brought. IT IS A POLITICAL, ELECTION-INTERFERING WITCH HUNT, JUST LIKE ALL OF THE OTHER HOAXES, HEADED UP AND COORDINATED BY THE DOJ, AGAINST THE POLITICAL OPPONENT OF CROOKED JOE BIDEN IN ORDER TO HELP GET THE WORST PRESIDENT IN THE HISTORY OF THE UNITED STATES RE-ELECTED!”0Trump added a link to a New York Post article entitled, Dem clients of daughter of NY judge in Trump hush money trial raised $93M off the case. The Guardian's Hugo Lowell responded to the former president's post via X, saying, "Trump did not post a photo of Judge Merchan’s daughter — he posted a link to a NY Post story and the link preview included a photo of the daughter. But it’s just not credible at this point to say that Trump doesn’t know what he’s doing."However, MSNBC's Katie Phang quickly replied to Lowell, tweeting, "He knows exactly what he's doing."Legal analyst and University of Alabama law professor Joyce Vance shared a screenshot of Trump's post via X, writing, "You can't have a legal system with integrity & the ability to counteract you if you're a wannabe dictator. That's why Trump is trying to delegitimize our institutions."READ MORE: 'Hater': Trump attacks Judge Merchan’s daughter again — this time by nameVance's fellow legal analyst and former FBI counsel Andrew Weissmann also reacted to Trump's post by suggesting that the court, "1. tighten the bail release conditions ASAP. 2. Warn that jail will result from threatening ANYONE while out on bail, or posting about witnesses, jurors, court or prosecution families. 3. Enforce- that is what it means to treat likes alike. The foundation of the rule of law."Former Watergate prosecutor Jill Wine-Banks added, "Tighten the gag order to cover judge's daughter and enforce that."READ MORE: Why 'timing' of the judge’s gag on Trump is unusual but 'not accidental': legal expert

Trump sends Easter message to the 'many people that I completely and totally despise'
Mar 31, 2024
Donald Trump posted the latest of several Easter messages Sunday, but this one was specifically directed at the people he claims are running a witch hunt against him.“Happy Easter to all,” he began. But what followed suggested the glad tidings were not genuinely heartfelt.“Including crooked and corrupt prosecutors and judges that are doing everything possible to interfere with the presidential election of 2024, and put me in prison, including those many people that I completely & totally despise because they want to destroy America, a now failing nation, like “deranged” Jack Smith, who is evil and “sick,” Mrs. Fani (Fauni) Wade, who said she hardly knew the “special” prosecutor, only to find that he spent years “loving” her, long before the Georgia persecution of President Trump began (and thereby making the case against me null, void, and illegal!)," he posted.ALSO READ: ‘It’s on my ID’: Presidential candidate Literally Anybody Else explains legal name change“And lazy on violet crime Alvin Bragg who, with crooked Joe’s DOJ thugs, unfairly working in the D.A.’s office, illegally indicted me on a case he never wanted to bring and virtually all legal scholars say is a case that should not be brought, is breaking the law in doing so (Pomerantz!), was turned down by all other law enforcement authorities, and is not a crime.“Happy Easter everyone!”Trump’s Easter best wishes came in one of many ranting posts he made to Truth Social Sunday, including one in which he shared a column claiming he is “the chosen one.”In another post, he denounced the "cowards and weaklings" who have resigned from the House GOP.
