Prince Harry seems to be mending his strained relationship with his father King Charles , with one royal expert suggesting they were "very, very close" before their feud. Harry has hit out at his dad on multiple occasions since stepping back from the
Royal Family , accusing the King or lying and making jokes at his son's expense. Royal expert Ingrid Seward said despite this, the pair "got on incredibly well" when Harry was younger. However, she claimed the monarch regrets the way he raised his son and said Charles believes Harry and his brother
Prince William could have benefited from more discipline. Ingrid said the King wasn't strict with his children as he went along with the late Princess Diana's "freestyle of bringing up children". For all the latest on news, politics, sports, and showbiz from the

They got on incredibly well. I think Charles probably regrets that he wasn’t strict with Harry and William," Ingrid told
Fox News Digital . She added: "Diana allowed them to do, more or less, what they wanted, which was very fashionable in those days. You let children just get on with things. "I think Charles probably regrets that he wasn't a bit stricter, because it might've given both boys a few more boundaries. Children all need boundaries, and I don't think they had too many."

cancer. The
Duke of Sussex flew to
London back in February and enjoyed a half-an-hour conversation with the King. Harry then revealed his plans to return to the
UK once again and hopefully reunite with the Royal Family. During an appearance on Good Morning America, he said: "So my family and my life in
California is as it is. I have got other trips planned. That would take me through the UK or back to the UK, so you know, I'll stop in and see my family as much as I can." He also said he was "grateful" to have been able to visit the King earlier this year. "Look I love my family. The fact that I was able to get on a plane and go and see him and spend any time with him I'm grateful for that," Harry said. Follow the Mirror US News page on
