YAHOO Mail is down for hundreds of users who today have reported the e-mail service as not working.
Yahoo Mail is down for hundreds of people who have said the e-mail is not working for them amid login problems and issues sending and reading messages.
Independent website Down Detector has received hundreds of reports from Yahoo Mail users experiencing problems today.
The reports of Yahoo Mail down began to pick up since 9am GMT today and have continued since.
Some 48 per cent of those affected have had problems sending e-mails, while 38 per cent have had issues logging into Yahoo Mail.
Some 12 per cent of Yahoo Mail users affected by the issues today had problems reading mail.
Down Detector is an independent website that tracks social mentions around certain topics to detect outages across the world.
Yahoo Mail users have taken to social networking site Twitter to report issues with the e-mail service.
One user tweeted: "Yahoo mail is down".
While another posted: "@yahoomail am unable to send mail thru IOS it seems to be a global issue please help #IOSYahooMail".
And one added: "@yahoomail whats wrong with mail today. I have been signed out 4 times in 8 hours. My emails are not being sent."
It is not the first time recently that Yahoo Mail has gone down.
Earlier this week hundreds of Yahoo Mail users reported login problems as well issues sending and reading messages.
While towards the end of October Yahoo Mail went down for hundreds of users again, with the problem affecting users in the US, UK and Europe.
Yahoo Mail users have took to social media site Twitter during the downtime to report issues with the service.
One user tweeted: “@yahoomail my email has not been working - doesn't recognize my password. When resetting - it says there is an error.”
While another said: “@yahoomail is there a problem with ur email service I've tried to view emails but all I'm getting is "undisclosed recipients”.
And one posted: “#yahoo #yahoomail What's going on with Yahoo Mail? #yahoohelp”.
