The script
Star Wars fans were looking for was, it turns out, briefly available on eBay. J.J. Abrams, director of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, revealed in a Monday appearance on Good Morning America that despite the highly-secretive nature of the blockbuster film, its real screenplay got out and was put up for sale online thanks to an unnamed actor. As Abrams explained, a member of the cast left the script under their bed, and someone who was cleaning their place found it, passing it off to someone else who subsequently tried to sell it on eBay.Luckily, Abrams explained that the company flagged the eBay listing and was able to get the script back before anyone could buy it. Presumably, the listing would have been dismissed by many who came across it as a fake, but according to Abrams, it was the real deal.So now the question remains, which member of the cast was very nearly to blame for such a massive leak? Abrams didn't call them out, joking that "I want to, but I won't." Move aside, Game of Thrones' coffee cup mystery. There's a new franchise whodunnit to solve.
