Jermaine tried to pass off love notes as ‘banter’ after
Chloe Ayling caught him out in a lie after he told her his relationship on the outside world was ‘f*****’.
But she still didn’t know the full truth.
Chloe confessed to the house that Jermaine has secretly been telling her he likes her and that his relationship on the outside world is ‘f*****’ and that he liked her. But in the process of telling her story, Chloe then came to discover that his relationship is not in fact over, and decided to confront him on his lies.
Jermaine, completely caught out, tried to pass off the whole thing with Chloe as ‘banter’, despite the fact he wrote ‘I like you’ in a note, and he absolutely point blank refused to talk about it with the 21-year-old on camera, suggesting he had something to hide.
‘It’s just banter, it’s jokes,’ he told his housemates. ‘When I get out it’s not like anything is coming to anything,’ he said of his relationship with Chloe.
And as Chloe pushed for him to talk he said: ‘No don’t say anything, when we get out we’ll talk.
‘Otherwise it will just be pure headache. There’s no point in making it any worse.’
As the news of their secret love notes sunk in to the housemates, Sally later joked: ‘I love your throat. So does your ex, she’s going to ring it.’
Jermaine was then directly asked by Roxanne: ‘Are you on a break on the outside?’ to which he replied: ‘I don’t want to be talking about this in the house.’
‘No one’s done anything so no one’s going to get in trouble,’ Jermaine reasoned.
But later, it transpired he did have something to hide, as he finally confessed to the house he doesn’t just have a girlfriend, he has a wife.
As he sat in the garden with Gabby, Dan and Ben, Jermaine did eventually admit he is married. As his housemates registered their shock, he tried to cover his slyness by asking: ‘Didn’t you see me wearing a ring when I first came in?’
‘You’re going to have to think about your wife mate. She’s not going to be happy now,’ Dan said.
Gabby was asked what she thought of the situation, as the boys found the revelation of his marriage hilarious.
‘I think you guys are all arseholes,’ she said.
Later, as Chloe became the second person evicted from the house, she was shown the footage of Jermaine admitting he is married. The evictee then confessed Jermaine had had a word with her as she left the house in a bid to save his relationship back home.
‘He told me to play it down,’ she confessed. ‘He said he only said [his relationship is] fucked.’
