Aaron Taylor-Johnson has supported his wife Sam Taylor-Johnson at the world premiere of her new film Back to Black . The
Actor, who has been swept up in rumours he is to take over Daniel Craig as the next 007 , proudly walked the red carpet with his director wife, 57. He looked smart in a black leather jacket over a black shirt and trousers. Aaron, 33, topped his look off with a pair of patent black shoes as he kept his arm over Sam. She looked gorgeous in a black sleeveless gown and beamed at her husband as they posed for the cameras. The movie, which is released on April 12, documents Amy Winehouse's early life as well as her rise to stardom. While promoting her film, Sam addressed rumours Aaron is tipped to become the next James Bond. Fans of the movie franchise have been eagerly awaiting to find out who will be donning the iconic tuxedo for the twenty-sixth instalment. It is not yet clear if the role has gone to Aaron, but when quizzed by Jonathan Ross on his ITV show about the rumours, Sam joked: “You mean that I might direct a Bond film? The first woman director.” I pitted Estee Lauder's £65 serum against £12 Revolution rival and could barely tell the difference Aaron supported his wife Sam at her world premiere ( Image: Dave Benett/WireImage) She added: “Carry on speculating. He’d be great.” Speaking about directing her husband, Sam continued: “It’s really interesting. When I directed Nowhere Boy, he wasn’t my husband. When I directed A Million Little Pieces he was. He gets very intense. It’s quite interesting depending on what character he’s playing. Nocturnal Animals for example, was very hard. He was not washing, his nails were really long, he was drinking and he was watching a lot of serial killer documentaries. He wanted to be toxic from the inside in order to play such a toxic character. There was one morning when he woke up and thought the bed was on
fire but we were actually saging him.” Sam and Aaron controversially met in 2009 on the set of her film Nowhere Boy in which he played lead character John Lennon. Aaron was just 18 at the time and Sam was 42 and had divorced art dealer husband Jay Jopling the year before. They announced their engagement at the Nowhere Boy premiere in October 2009. The couple - who got married in 2012 - have two children together, Wylda, 13 and Romy, 11, while Sam shares two older daughters with ex-husband Jay. Friends of the late star and angered fans as footage of Amy's funeral will be used following her death 13 years ago.
Actress Marisa Abela plays the role of Amy alongside Jack O'Connell, who portrays her former husband Blake Fielder-Civil . Jack, 33, jumped to producers' defence and questioned what an 'acceptable timescale' would be. He said everyone involved in the movie was determined to do Amy and her memory justice. "Put it like this, if we were trying to portray her in any form of negative light, then that might be a valid point and I can understand one or two people pre-empting that," he told The Sunday Times . "But if you talk to Sam [Taylor-Johnson, director] we're not even calling this a biopic, it's a celebration." Musician Neon Hitch has also slammed the "tasteless" film, adding: "I feel very strange. Can you please all let Amy rest?" Follow Mirror Celebs on TikTok , Snapchat ,
