Comedian Tim Dillon has come under
fire for his controversial remarks about Boomers and . Speaking on Steven Bartlett's podcast, The Diary of a CEO, the 39 year old New Yorker labeled Boomers as a "selfish generation" who "refuse to retire." In the same conversation, he also took a swipe at , calling them "a sh** generation" that constantly seeks validation. He didn't spare Gen Z either, suggesting they should be "drafted into wars" and "can go die in ." While Steven entertained the discussion and asked questions to the comedian, he refrained from expressing any personal views on the topic. Dillon stated: "I love the boomers, they are a selfish generation, the state of the Boomers is they are these powerful people who refuse to leave their mansions, they will not retire, they diminish their children by saying 'I can't believe you can't own something like this,' they like holding these houses over their kid's heads." Dillon continued: "They are very sick people, they refuse to give up their jobs, they are emotional terrorists and I grew up with them they are very interesting people. They have proven the lie of the '60s, people thought they were progressive hippies, they were not, they were actually just selfish drug addicts. They just wanted to get high and roll around in the mud." He then labeled them the "funniest generation that ever lived, nobody is funnier because to be funny you kind of have to not care, no one has cared less about the future of this planet or the future of their children about anything but the Boomers." As he shifted the conversation towards millennials, Tim highlighted their constant need for recognition. He branded millennials as "this really s**t generation where they are like, pin a medal on me, put a ribbon on me, I am right, I went to the right college I got the right internship, I believe the right things, I Tweeted the right thing, I have the right politics." He continued by saying that "Millennials are these kind of ambitious people that want to constantly be patted on the back" and "told how great they are." Moving on to Gen Z, he did offer some praise, but didn't hold back on his critique either. He characterized Gen Z as "self starters very sceptical of institutions and cynical, that some of their positive qualities," while also pointing out "their more negative qualities are the murder, filming murders and fentanyl vapes, we need a draft to be honest." He concluded with the controversial opinion that "young people should probably just go into the
MILITARY, I know that is going to be a controversial thing to say but if they are going to just do fentanyl and attack each other in malls and put it on TikTok they can go die in
Ukraine." Tim's contentious remarks didn't sit well with everyone, and they voiced their opinions on X. "Hating everyone because hate," one individual criticized. Another defended: "Boomers are far from selfish. They grew up to be hard workers with morals and ethics passed down by their parents."
