BBC Breakfast's Naga Munchetty was left far from amused after Ralf Little appeared to take a swipe at her. The Death In Paradise
Actor appeared on the early morning programme to discuss his and his pal Will Mellor's upcoming tour for their podcast, Two Pints with Will and Ralf. The duo had previously worked together on Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps, alongside
Actress Sheridan Smith. But their friendship became the topic of conversation with Naga , 49, asked Ralf how long he and Will had really known one another. However, his response certainly didn't go down too well in the studio with Naga being less than impressed. "We've always made each other laugh and we've always had that kind of ability to be silly and then serious, but, we got old," he said. He went on to add: "We got old right? So we still do the stuff we....," before Naga interrupted and cut him off to ask his age. "I'm 44, just turned 44," he commented. Ralf Little found himself in hot water on

Stunned by the question, Ralf replied: "Er, well look old father time gets to us and Will I think is about... He's just had a birthday and I think he's about 56 now." "That is so not true," quipped Naga. But the awkward moment ended in laughter as Ralf replied: "No it's not true but I'm going to make that fact now." Elsewhere in the interview, Ralf revealed he never wanted to leave Death In Paradise but his exit had always been planned. He said: "I had talks with the BBC , and with Red Planet, the production company and we all agreed that it just felt... if it was in my heart, like if it was just a heart decision, I'd have wanted to do it for 20 more years. "But just for the show, and... for my character Neville, it just sort of felt like his story... it deserved to be sort of finished and his sort of journey... sort of deserved to be completed and he deserved a nice happy ending and so it just felt right." The actor took over the role of DI Neville Parker from Ardal O'Hanlon in 2020. Previously the main Detective Investigator role had been played by Kris Marshall who starred as Humphrey Goodman, who is now appearing in the spin-off, Beyond Paradise. But when asked who would replace him on the programme, Ralf stated that he had no idea. He commented: "Every leader has to arrive on the island as a fish out of water. That's the formula. And they have something within them that is broken, and that the island, and the people they work with, will heal. However they do it, that's the key."
