Washington Commanders added depth to their defensive line position by signing Haggai Chisom Ndubuisi of Nigeria. Ndubuisi is part of the International Player Pathway Program (IPPP). Ndubuisi (6-7, 323 pounds) is a 23-year-old Nigerian lineman who played soccer and
basketball growing up. He started watching football/NFL on
YouTube and then joined the Uprise Academy, a Nigerian
Football program founded by former NFL defensive lineman Osi Umenyiora . Arizona Cardinals as an Offensive Lineman. After appearing in only one preseason game he was released and was then allocated to the Denver Broncos where he made the switch to defensive lineman. Ndubuisi was on the practice squad for the Broncos for the 2023 season but was not signed to a reserve/future contract. On February 1st, Ndubuisi signed with the San Antonio Brahmas of the United Football League (UFL), but was waived on February 12th. He now lands with the Commanders. Key additions include running back Austin Ekeler , linebacker Bobby Wagner, defensive lineman Clellin Ferrell, guard Tyler Allegretti, and safety Jeremy Chinn. Quinn has also added some former players of his from his time in Dallas. The Commanders have signed center Tyler Biadasz , defensive lineman Dorance Armstrong, corner Noah Igbinoghene, and defensive end Dante Fowler Jr., all former Cowboys last year.
