Radio 1's Jack Saunders has confirmed he and Ash Smith are engaged. The pair announced their happy news on Tuesday before sharing with their followers that they had obtained their marriage license after flying to
Las Vegas to tie the knot. Jack who presents the Future Artists and Official Charts on the
BBC show to shared a series of snaps as he confirmed the news. "She said YES!! Here we come Vegas. I love you so much @therealashsmith," he said as Ash showed off her ring as they arrived in Sin City. The couple were flooded with messages of congratulations, with Melvin Odoom penning: "Congratulations you sexy pair." Josh Franceschi of You Me At Six added: "Here we go!" The happy couple beamed as they showed off Ash's stunning ring Ash and Jack wasted no time when it came to obtaining their marriage license "Congratulations hombre, beautiful," penned Cel Spellman. While Kiss FM presenter Harriet Rose gushed: "So exciting congrats babe," alongside a heart emoji. Fellow Radio 1 star Greg James typed: "Haha amazing! Congratulations." Alyx Holcombe added: "OMG congrats guys! What lovely news." Ash also shared the news on her own
Instagram alongside a series of snaps of the happy couple as she showcased her stunning ring. Writing alongside her post, she penned: "On our way to the chapel! I love you @jackxsaunders." In a now-expired Instagram Story on Monday, Jack documented the couple heading to the marriage license office to obtain their documents before officially saying: "I do." The couple officially obtained their license on April 1 but at the time of publication, have not yet married one another. The soon-to-be husband and wife rarely share insights into their relationship on
Social Media but couldn't contain themselves as they shared their excitement. Ash, was born in
California but was raised in
Texas and travels all over the world due to her career as a model and
Actress. But away from this, she also makes
music in the band Trashworld, alongside her friend Dani Miller. In 2020, she appeared alongside The Weeknd in his music video for the track, Too Late. Jack's news comes just before he fully takes over the Future Sounds programme on Radio 1 from Clara Amfo who recently announced she would be stepping down. He'll take over in the hot seat on April 15 but when he was announced as Clara's replacement, it instantly brought memories from his teenage years flooding back.
