"Our ring camera was charging in the house, which he saw and then knew he wasn't being recorded," she said in a devastating statement. Angie expressed her anger that no charges will be filed against the man because the
police let him go as "he claimed self defense". She strongly denied this, saying "he did not have a scratch or bite on him nor were his pants torn". The upset actress also said the driver was using a fake identity when he delivered the food. She added: "He shot our dog with my daughters and myself at home and just kept saying, 'yeah, I shot your dog. Yeah I did.' The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department told TMZ in a statement: "The investigation revealed that a delivery driver arrived at the residence to deliver consumable goods. The driver told officers that a dog attacked him while he was at the residence and that he defended himself by firing a single gunshot, striking and mortally wounding the dog. Another dog was present at the residence but did not attack." They added that no criminal charges have been filed over this, and revealed CMPD's Animal Control were also involved. A spokesperson from Instacart, the company the delivery guy worked for, told the publication: "We were deeply saddened and disturbed to hear about this incident. We have no tolerance for violence of any kind." They also said they stopped the delivery person from working with them and are helping the police figure things out.
