As a writer of life advice, I don’t see it as my
Job to develop completely novel ideas. By this point, all the best ideas have been taken, and anything original would be highly likely wrong. Instead, I aim to repeat the best ideas I’ve heard and those that have worked for me. Simply by processing the ideas through my brain and putting them into words, they will come out with my unique twist. I hope that by repeating these good ideas, I’m doing the vital work of keeping them prominent in our society. Good advice is only helpful if you remember it. We need to hear it a few times and from a few perspectives for it to stick. That said, the advice I’m about to give will sound obvious. I know you know it, and I know you can do it. And there’s only one reason I will repeat it: Not everyone applies it. Well, here it is: Passively wait to see what kind of mood you’ll inherit based on what happens around you. Consciously make choices that will brighten your day. 1. Get Something Done 2. Meet up With a Friend 3. Exercise Your Body 4. Spend Time Outside 5. Perform an Act of Kindness
