Louis Walsh has revealed the whopping amount of money he earned for his time on Celebrity Big Brother , admitting "they really wanted me". The star-studded show returned to our screens last month after a six-year hiatus, with Louis being one of the famous faces in the house. While on the ITV show, Louis made headlines as he took aim at a number of famous faces. These included Jedward, who he called "vile", and Ronan Keating who he claimed "hasn't had a hit record" since firing Louis as his manager. The X Factor judge ended up in fourth place and Louis has spoken about his earnings in a new interview as well as his decision to join the show, telling the Sunday Independent: "[ITV] convinced me. They said I was going to be safe; it was going to be fun, that I would probably win it." They kept on at me, and still I said no, because I was scared. I don't want to be a celebrity. It's a fake world . I have no desire. I like
music and staying under the radar." Louis went on to reveal that he only decided to join the show when ITV offered him a hefty pay cheque, confessing: "They paid me a lot of money," before dropping the jaw-dropping news that it was close to €1million (£850,000). But it seems Louis was not alone in getting a serious pay day. His friend from X Factor , Sharon Osbourne, also spent time in the famous house as CBB's first ever "celebrity lodger". Throughout her nine days on the show, Sharon was seen for just over two hours. Over the course of the episodes she was in, she appeared anywhere between 8 to 24 minutes at a time however is reported to have been paid £7,000 a minute. It had been seven years since Louis and Sharon appeared on television together and their reunion certainly didn't disappoint. Not only did the pair get on brilliantly, but the latter even defended Louis after his fellow CBB housemates accused him of not pulling his weight or doing any of the cooking or cleaning, or helping around the house. When the criticism was mentioned to Sharon in a post-exit interview, she said: "Louis is Louis. That's Louis." Mirror Online has reached out to ITV for comment. Follow Mirror Celebs on Snapchat ,
