A survivor of the
Islamic State terror attack on a
Russian concert hall claims he “fought for my life twice” after
shooting one of the perpetrators in the face with their own machine gun. was rocked on Friday night as a terrorist attack believed to have been launched by Islamic State saw 137 people inside the Crocus City Hall in
Moscow slaughtered while waiting for a concert to start. Hundreds more were believed injured in the shooting in Moscow, which also left the concert hall in flames after an
explosion rocked the building a short time after the shooting. Witnesses claimed that five attackers shot “openly and directly” into the crows in the front few rows, before being seen with flammable liquids. And as Russian officials confirm that 152 people were injured, including five children, and 114 were hospitalised, one survivor claims that they attacked one of the
ISIS terrorists by turning their own gun on them. Mikhail (not his real name) said that he was with his wife at the time of the attack, and were trying to run away to a safe place. However, he explained: “When he caught up with me, I looked at my wife, saw wild horror in her eyes and realized that I had to do something. I pushed my wife away, walked around him, grabbed the machine gun with my left hand and pulled it down, and with my right hand began to strike him in the face. “Another man ran up to me and also dealt him two powerful blows, when the attacker passed out, we ran away.” He added that after the encounter he ran outside to find his wife, who was waiting for him. He has no idea if the terrorists survived being shot in the face, but Mikhail has now been recommended for an award by Chairman of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin. .
