Turkey would have you believe that Ridvan Yilmaz is closing in on a loan away from Rangers this summer. But all signs suggest that, as things stand anyway, that couldn't be further from the truth. The left-back has struggled for minutes behind Borna Barisic in the Ibrox pecking order since arriving from Besiktas while injuries and personal circumstances haven't helped matters either. He's only managed eight appearances, and hadn't played since his 90-minute runout against Napoli before his substitute appearance against Raith Rovers in the Scottish Cup earlier this month. Reports in his homeland suggested Besiktas have agreed a loan to take him back but it's curious timing considering Beale is likely to need the 21-year-old now more than ever. With Barisic set to miss Saturday's clash against Motherwell, Yilmaz looks in line for only his second league start and there may be more to come with a packed schedule between now and the end of the season. It all comes after Beale said back in February that the youngster does have a future at Ibrox and offers them a different option to Barisic - something that could become invaluable in the weeks and months to come now he's finally fit. Beale said: “We have an outstanding left-back in Borna and an outstanding young one in Ridvan as well. He was bought with an eye on the future and creating competition as we lost a fantastic one in the summer in Calvin Bassey. "Just before he got injured he started to excite the fans with what he could bring. He’s a different type of attacking full-back. He arrives and runs past the wide player whereas Borna is someone who has that fantastic crossing. "It’s a lovely blend to have. And then you can pick and choose which one you would have and when.” READ NEXT Read More Related Articles Steven Gerrard to face Celtic as former Rangers boss lined up for emotional
