ITV has issued an apology after a mix-up involving Jonathan Ross in the latest episode of The Masked Singer.
During Saturday night’s pre-recorded show, the talk show host offered up his suggestion for the mystery star who might be behind Daisy’s mask, after hearing her perform a rendition of Nat King Cole’s Unforgettable.
As his fellow judges made their guesses, Jonathan claimed the song choice might be a hint that Daisy could actually be the legendary singer’s daughter, Natalie Cole.
The only issue with that – as viewers quickly pointed out – is that she died in 2015.To make matters worse, the mistake was also repeated on The Masked Singer’s official

Singer Kelis had actually been behind Daisy’s mask.
Many viewers (and judge Rita Ora) had long suspected it was Kelis, due to her distinct singing voice and repeated references to her love of food and cooking, as well as a hint about her unique first name, which is actually a portmanteau of her parents’ names.
Seven disguised celebrities now remain in the competition, with two set to go home in Saturday night’s show.
Although it has yet to be confirmed by ITV, the Mirror has already reported that a second series is already in the pipeline, following the success of the current run.
