Dancing On Ice bosses have hit back at claims Caprice and Hamish Gaman’s skating partnership came to an end because of “bullying”.
Dancing On Ice Rep Addresses Bullying Claims After Caprice Parts Ways With Skating Partner
On Sunday night, presenters Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby revealed that the model would not be taking to the ice, as she and Hamish had made the decision to “part ways”.
The announcement offered no further information, leaving fans with a lot of questions, with The Sun later claiming Caprice felt “bullied” and “pushed too hard” by her skating partner.
However, a representative for the show has since vehemently denied this.A spokesperson told The Mirror: “We have seen no evidence of the alleged bullying on Dancing on Ice and strongly refute any suggestion to the contrary.
“We’re very proud of the team, both on and off screen. They produce a fantastic show and we are committed to ensuring that everyone who works on the programme is fully supported.”
It’s since been confirmed that Caprice is back in training, with the hopes of returning to the ice on Sunday night.
She’s reportedly being coached by Swiss skater Oscar Peter, who The Sun has claimed will be her new partner.Meanwhile, a rep for the show told HuffPost UK: “As you saw in [last week’s] opening number Hamish remains very much part of our professional team and we hope to have Caprice back on the ice next week.”
He joined the show in 2018, and has previously skated with Olympic athlete Perri Shakes-Drayton and X Factor singer Saara Aalto, who made it through to the final last year.
