'MasterChef' climbs in its second hour on Fox.Wednesday bragging rights went to America's Got Talent, which will wrap its winning 12th season next week.
The one-hour live telecast averaged a 2.0 rating among adults 18-49 and 11.3 million viewers, setting up NBC for another primetime victory and lifting Marlon to again match its series high 1.2 rating in the key demo. The second episode dipped to a 1.0 rating, with the full hour block averaging 4.5 million viewers. Summer drama Midnight, Texas earned another 0.7 rating among adults 18-49.
CBS also aired mostly original episodes. A steady Big Brother (1.8 adults) led into an even Salvation (0.5 adults).
Elsewhere, Fox saw back-to-back episodes of MasterChef average a 1.3 rating among adults 18-49 between 8 and 10 o'clock. The cooking show peaked at 9 p.m. with a 1.4 rating.
