IVANKA TRUMP was welcomed by Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe at a restaurant in Tokyo today wearing an outfit inspired by the country’s cultural dress - the kimono.
Ivanka Trump, 36, who also acts as her father US President Donald Trump’s senior advisor, arrived in Japan on Thursday as part of a three day visit ahead of a visit by her father.
Earlier today she gave a speech at a symposium on women’s empowerment at the World Assembly for Women, and is now enjoying dinner with the Japanese Prime Minister.
Arriving in Japan yesterday, the First Daughter channeled her father’s wife style in a Jackie Kennedy inspired baby blue coat.
First lady Melania famously wore a light blue coat for Donald’s inauguration which was reminiscent of the wife of the 35th US President.
Ivanka carried on Jackie Kennedy inspired outfits for today’s big speech.
She flashed her legs in a matching peach coloured skirt and jacket with large pearl and crystal buttons.
But for dinner tonight, Ivanka shunned the prim and proper look for Japanese-inspired style.
The gown she wore imitated a kimono - a traditional Japanese garment.
The dress, made of up baby pink and cream, featured a red flower print design.
It was then tied together at the waist with a silk black bow.
A deep V on the dress allowed Ivanka to flash some skin, and she finished off the look with a pair of black pointed stiletto heels and wavy hair.
President Trump will arrive on Sunday with Melania on a separate three-day visit.
During this time he will hold talks, have a working lunch and play golf with Abe.
Trump will also meet with relatives of Japanese nationals abducted by North Korea.
