U.S. Vice President
Mike Pence on Thursday offered a full-throated defense of President Donald Trump's call for an investigation into former Vice President
Joe Biden and his son's dealings with
Ukraine, saying the
American people deserve to know the facts. "The American people have the right to know whether or not the vice president of the
United States or his family profited from his position," Pence told reporters in Scottsdale, Arizona. In a phone call in July, President
Donald Trump pressed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy to investigate Biden, the leading candidate for the
Democratic presidential nomination, and his son Hunter.
