A new “Gossip Girl” is coming to HBO Max, with the upcoming streaming service handing out a straight-to-series order.Josh Schwartz, who developed The CW series, and Stephanie Savage are both returning as executive producers, along with Joshua Safran, who will write the script. “Gossip Girl” was based on the book series by Cecily von Ziegesar.The sequel, which will be 10 episodes, will take place eight years after the events of original series, which starred Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Penn Badgley, Chace Crawford and Ed Westwick.
