Kate Middleton, 37, appeared at the state banquet tonight to welcome
Donald Trump, 72, and his wife Melania, 48, to the
UK. She wore a white lace gown and a royal tiara.
Kate Middleton arrived at the state dinner tonight to honour President Donald Trump in a white lace gown.
The stunning white dress was a floor length number appropriate for a formal dinner.
The gown had cap sleeves and a sweetheart neckline.
The
Duchess of Cambridge wore a purple sash and carried a small white clutch bag.
Kate Middleton wore a tiara made famous by Diana and the Queen Mother’s earrings.
It was anticipated that Kate Middleton would attend tonight, while
Meghan Markle was expected not to attend.
The
Duchess of Sussex has recently given birth to her first child Archie Harrison.
Prince Harry did meet Donald Trump and his daughter Ivanka today although his body language was called “cold”.
This may be a response to the fact Donald called Meghan “nasty” in a recent interview.
Judi James told Express.co.uk of Harry’s behaviour at Westminster Abbey today: “Given the controversy over Meghan’s comments about Trump and his about her Harry does look unsurprisingly but also uncharacteristically wary and solemn in these poses.
“He stands here doing what looks like watching rather than joining in, with a cold or deadpan facial expression and what looks like a reflective eye-gaze.”
Kate Middleton’s gown was created by British fashion house Alexander McQueen, which is headed up by creative director Sarah Burton.
Kate’s purple sash was the Dame Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order sash.
Twitter fans made their admiration of the dress clear.
One wrote: “Man, Kate Middleton is slaying that dress, tho.” (sic)

“Totally stunning and would make a fab #wedding dress,” another said.
