The ATP Monte Carlo Masters has been a player and fan favourite event over the years due to its magnificent location. It’s the same this year as all the top players are in Monaco, intending to lift the trophy. ATP Monte Carlo Day 2 Predictions Head-to-Head: Cerundolo 1-0 Altmaier Francisco Cerundolo had his best season last year in terms of win percentage but hasn’t quite replicated it this year with just seven wins from 18 matches. His best result did come on clay in the Rio Open and he would be eager to get off to a good start in Monte Carlo. Daniel Altmaier is coming into this match as a lucky loser, hoping to turn around his horrible start to the year. The German had a fantastic win over Jannik Sinner at the
French Open last year but hasn’t been able to showcase that level again. Both these players thrive on clay but Cerundolo won their only main draw encounter on clay and will fancy his chances again against an out-of-form Altmaier. Head-to-Head: Tabilo 1-0 O’Connell Alejandro Tabilo has been having a great season as he won his first ATP title in Auckland and a final in Santiago , which helped him break into the top 50 for the first time. The Chilean has never played at the Monte Carlo Masters before and would look to start with a win. Christopher O’Connell had to win a deciding set tiebreak against Aleksandar Vukic to qualify for the main draw. Playing two three-setter matches in two days will take a lot out of the
Australian and it’s hard to see him progress any further. Prediction: Tabilo in 2 Head-to-head: first meeting Felix Auger-Aliassime will play his first clay court match of the year and has a tough one. The Canadian is still finding his 2022 form when he won five titles but it looks unlikely to happen here as clay has proven to be his toughest surface. Luca Nardi’s heroics against

Tennis fan in the world. The 20-year-old recently won a Challenger on clay and has two matches under his belt here. He would be oozing with confidence and like his chances against the Canadian. Auger-Aliassime can make this a good battle if he serves well but I don’t see him having much success from the baseline. Head-to-Head: Tsitsipas 3-0 Djere Stefanos Tsitsipas has been suffering with his form recently, but he would be delighted to play his favourite tournament on his best surface. Tsitsipas has won this tournament twice and he will look to be in contention again. Laslo Djere has won just three matches this year and has never taken a set off Tsitsipas in their previous main draw meetings. Although Djere likes to play on clay, does he have enough weapons to trouble his opponent, who has a much higher pedigree on this surface?
