Desperate to cling to her independence, Imelda disputes the need to have Ciaran dropped into her life, especially when he takes the presumption of installing something which he requires to work from home - the internet. In an attempt to mediate the ongoing friction, Ciaran demonstrates the benefits technology could contribute to his nanny’s off-the-grid lifestyle and in doing so, he discovers that he has the ability to play a vital role in a friendship on hiatus for some 60 years. Chicago, where Dear Imedla was a Festival Award Nominee. Having just released a teaser of the short online, it has now racked up over 30,000 plays to date across the film's
Social Media platforms. Speaking to Belfast Live , Declan said: "We are extremely proud of the work everyone involved has put into this project. "Having just returned from three back-to-back festivals in North America, it was an incredible experience to share this film with an audience in various cities to cage their reaction and the humour just translated perfectly." Having Rose Henderson and Tara Howley attached to the project stepped the entire production up another level. "We anticipated that the
trailer would be somewhat well received upon release but we weren't expecting the viral response at all. "It has just confirmed a real desire for people to see the film and we look forward to it's first Irish festival screening hopefully some stage in the coming months."
