Erol Bulut is poised to unleash one of Cardiff City's exciting prospects who has blown away senior players in first-team training. With six games left of the Championship season and Cardiff all but resigned to a season of mid-table mediocrity, Bulut admitted it could be time to give youth a chance. And that's good news for youngster Cian Ashford, who has made a few people sit up and take notice with his performances on the the training pitches at the Vale. “I will try to bring Cian Ashford in to use him for a few games, as well as Joe Colwill, but it has to be the right moment,” said Bulut on Thursday afternoon. Ashford, in particular, has impressed Bluebirds fans during academy and Wales U21 fixtures, with many calling for him to be given a chance in the league. Manolis Siopis said Ashford has "amazing finishing" and has caught his eye in training. "I like Ashford a lot, the winger," said the Greek Bluebirds midfielder. “He is different from other players. He takes the ball and you see him and you feel like he can stay in the first team for two or three years. “He doesn’t fret, he has confidence, he has amazing finishing. I like him a lot.” Siopis was also asked whether he could see the Welshman having an international career too. “100%, I like him a lot,” he said. “I hope (he will get his chance in the next six games).” The Bluebirds begin their run-in this Saturday against Hull City at Cardiff City Stadium. Ashford could be on the bench amid Cardiff’s injury problems.
