You have probably forgotten about this crime-fuelled Emma Watson flick. The Bling Ring was released back in 2013 and featured the Harry Potter
Actress as part of the infamous fame-obsessed teens that burgled celebrities’ homes. Throughout the movie, Emma’s character Nicki and her pals raid the houses of some of Hollywood’s biggest names. While at a club, the group notices A-listers including
Paris Hilton and after a quick search, the pals realise that the socialite is out of town for the night. After looking on the internet, they quickly discover her address and break in after finding a key in the most obvious place - under the doormat. The group are overwhelmed by the contents of her house and even steal some of her jewellery before making a break for it. After getting a taste of the high life, the Bling Ring then enter the homes of Audrina Partridge, Megan Fox, Orlando Bloom and Rachel Bilson. While in Fox’s house they accidentally
fire a gun and at Bloom’s mansion they steal Rolex’s to sell off. Later on, a news report it sent out regarding the group who have earned the title of the Bling Ring.
police track down the
Friends by using security camera footage to identify them. The cops are also helped by leads from their friends who witnessed them bragging about their exploits. Perhaps the group’s stupidest mistake was posting pictures of the pieces they’d stolen on
Social Media. It helped the authorities quickly gather evidence. Emma’s character Nicki served 30 days in jail and spoke about her ordeal on a chat show once she was released. She claimed that Lindsay Lohan was in the same facility as her while she was serving time. In a closing statement, Watson addresses the camera and urges viewers to visit her website, where they can learn more about her and what she went through. The crime film was written and directed by established
Actor Sofia Coppola and based on a Vanity Fair article. The piece was written by Nancy Jo Sales in 2010 and titled The Suspects Wore Louboutins. The Daily Star is now on
