"I wonder how you react when you see the president celebrating that day, not, not even running away from it, but celebrating it," the host said. "He's disgusting, but I know I'm not going to change anybody's mind. By the way, the video that came out along with those people singing, the national anthem, the person who picks up the phone on a president is the very same person who assaulted my brother." "Really, that's amazing, the same person," the anchor responded Friday. Watch below or click here. Donald Trump found himself in hot water after he posted controversial imagery on
Social Media. Early on Friday, the former president posted a video that depicts a large truck with several "blue lives matter" flags and pro-American signage. Former federal prosecutor Joyce Vance suggested there could be serious consequences for Trump. "I know from experience how the Secret Service interacts with people who make threats against POTUS, even ones they can't carry out. This, from a former President, is totally out of bounds. It's time to stop letting Trump break the rules. Long past time," Vance said after the report circulated. Veteran Philadelphia Inquirer reporter and columnist Will Bunch simply said, "Revoke his bail." Political science scholar Tim Hogan said that, if the Secret Service "does nothing about Trump's violation of federal law making a threats against the POTUS [the Department of Homeland Security] head should
fire the director of Secret Service and refer the matter to the DOJ for charges. Because Trump is out on bail, he should likely be held pending trial." "Trump should be in custody," he added. Investigative journalist Victoria Brownworth said, "Yikes!" "On [Good Friday] Trump posted an image on Truth Social of Biden bound with rope in the back of a pick up truck," she reported on Friday. "How many ways does this guy have to tell you what his plans are? Never forget Trump tried to have his own VP killed on January 6." Even
Actor Jon Cryer chimed in, saying, "Our disgraced former president, an adjudicated rapist and fraud, currently under indictment w/ 88 felony counts, just posted photos of a supporter portraying violence against his political rival on his social media." "If you’d read this 10 years ago, you wouldn’t have believed it.," the former co-star of Two and a Half Men said on Friday. Joe Biden is turning to a new strategy to defeat former President Donald Trump : trigger him into having meltdowns. According to
NBC News, "In recent weeks, both in private and public settings, Biden has ramped up personal, biting and often sarcastic broadsides against his
Republican opponent, targeting his financial challenges, his campaign tempo and even his weight. It’s a strategy largely driven by Biden himself, according to multiple aides and advisers familiar with the approach." In one such recent jab during a campaign stop in
Arizona, Biden told the crowd , “Just the other day, a defeated-looking guy came up to me and said, ‘Mr. President, I need your help. I’m being crushed with debt. I’m completely wiped out.’ I had to say, ‘Donald, I can’t help you.'” In another broadside at his highly-touted
New York City fundraiser this week, Biden said, “All the things he’s doing are so old … a little old and out of shape.” ALSO READ: ‘It’s on my ID’: Presidential candidate Literally Anybody Else explains legal name change At least some of these jokes are reportedly written by the president himself. Biden's strategy appears to emulate that of groups like the Lincoln Project, a team of mostly former GOP advisers that for years have cranked out ads directly speaking to Trump and mocking him — which has often caused Trump to publicly erupt in anger . "Biden’s team thinks those kinds of comments and jokes may resonate with voters for two reasons: because it’s 'rooted,' one aide said, in who Biden is at his core and because it wouldn’t work as well if it didn’t have some authenticity to it," said the report. "While contrasting their policy positions is important to the president, an adviser said Biden is 'totally the driver' of presenting a 'stark' character difference with Trump as well." All American manager Richard Vultaggio revealed to reporters that Trump purchased 18 “double double” cheeseburgers, 10 hot dogs, two quarter-pounder hamburgers with cheese, 20 orders of French fries, and 10 orders of onion rings, along with numerous servings of ketchup and mustard. Diller was shot in the stomach and killed by a suspected career criminal while on patrol in Far Rockaway. Trump's highly-publicized trip to attend the funeral, and his loud attacks on President Joe Biden for not doing the same, have raised criticism from many commentators who note the former president is still valorizing the January 6 defendants who were charged or convicted of assaulting police officers at the Capitol on that day.
