( KRON ) — Following two arrests that were made earlier this month involving approximately $10,000 worth of copper wire being stolen from the Valley Transit Authority, a third arrest was made in the case, the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office announced Wednesday. Twenty feet of copper wire that weighed more than 100 pounds was stolen from the VTA Cropley Light Rail Station in San Jose on March 11, the sheriff’s office said. That same day, two suspects, identified as Danielle Mayo, 60, and Frank Pacheco, 55, were arrested for possession of stolen property, conspiracy and possession of methamphetamine. A third person, Michael Reeder, 55, was identified by Transit Patrol Division detectives as an outstanding suspect in the case. Reeder was taken into custody without incident, SCCSO said Wednesday. Reeder was booked into Santa Clara County Mail Jail on charges of grand theft, vandalism, possession of a stolen vehicle as well as several outstanding warrants including evading
police, vehicle theft and burglary.
