Why weren't our voices enough??? #GMB." @Collider74 penned: "While I value the spotlight the story casts on underpaid caregivers, it's challenging to find sympathy, considering a net worth of £1.5 million and an annual income of £544,000 (source: The Mirror), especially when numerous individuals are facing significant hardships." @_____E_L_E_____ added: "So £16 grand per month for Derek tells me Kate did absolutely f*** all for this guy. I'm a care worker and we charge £25 an hour for 2 carers. 4 x visits a day for a month £3100 a month. I'm sick of hearing about Kate's woes. #gmb." Join the Daily Record's

However @CarerJim sympathised as he wrote: "I’m terribly sorry for your loss Kate, that’s so expensive it’s awful, I hope you’ll forgive me but this could and should be used to highlight the fact of what unpaid carers do vs what we get, how much money we save the government, and the fact we’re paid only £307 a month." Meanwhile @whipps2000 believes that the programme may do some good as she said: "If the documentary highlights how the care system is broken, then l am all for it. "l work as a community nurse and visit patients like Derek everyday , some aren’t so lucky to have family living with them, and it breaks my heart when l have to leave them." The Good Morning Britain report, which aired just after 6am on Tuesday, was featured in every other news bulletin throughout the show and specifically highlighted the cost of care offering statistics and figures from across the country.
