The front door of a house was set on
fire in a suspected arson attack.
police found a petrol can outside the house on Cecil Road in New Ferry after reports of a fire at around 10pm yesterday evening, March 26. The suspect was seen driving away from the area on a motorbike. CCTV and witness enquiries are being carried out by police in the area. Detective Inspector Dave Sung from Merseyside Police said: “Thankfully no-one was injured during this incident, and we believe this was a targeted attack that happened just outside a property on Cecil Road. “If you witnessed the incident or saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area, we would urge you to come forward.
