Newly-single TV chef James Martin shared a photo of himself with a surprising mix of celebrities at a Formula 1 motor race - including a famous 1990s
music star looking unrecognisable. ITV presenter Martin, who has split from his partner Louise Davies after 12 years, looked in good spirits as he enjoyed his passion for motor racing at the Bahrain
Grand Prix on March 2. Sharing the photo on his
Instagram page this week, This Morning chef Martin told fans: "Great to be with this bunch a few weeks ago in Bahrain!". It sent followers of the 50-year-old chef into meltdown over his famous pals in the VIP area. Olivier Lucchetta commented that the photo was full of "heroes and legends". "That’s some line up," said fan Lorna Scott. There was also Ashley Judd's ex-husband and former racing driver Dario Franchitti, from
Scotland. He's no stranger to the pits as he's the three-times winner of the Indy 500 - the most famous motor race in America. But the star that got the most attention from fans was a pop icon who provided many people's soundtrack of the 1990s. Instagram It took some a second glance to realise that the smiling figure closest to the camera was Jay Kay, frontman of band Jamiroquai. The post and photo is shown above and sent ripples of excitement at seeing the 54-year-old pop star and motorsport fanatic behind hits including Virtual Insanity, Cosmic Girl and Deeper Underground. One fan called Jim said: "Jay Kay has whacked the lbs on." Maria Johnston said: "Aww Jay Kay and James in the same photo love these guys." Tom Hall told the chef: "Seeing you with Chris Harris and Jay Kay just reaffirms how much you should’ve been offered the Top Gear
Job." Chef pal Mark Sargeant said Jay Kay "looks fabulous". Jay Kay from Jamiroquai in 2002 at Birmingham's NEC for the

Jenny Carter described it as a "jolly boys outing". David Wright told Martin: "Now that's a photo full of legends in their own right." Fraser Bell agreed, saying: "That is MASSIVE group of petrol heads right there!!" Rachel Kitchen told Martin: "It’s a great photo James. You all look like you had a fab time that day." Debbie Siviter added: "Awesome picture lovely, one for the album." She was referring to the fact Jay Kay has owned hundreds of sports cars including Ferraris 330 GT Vignale, an Enzo and a LaFerrrari. The glamour of Formula 1 was a world away from Martin's restaurant, Grill, in Worcestershire .
