A former high school teacher accused of sexually assaulting up to 12 boys after buying vapes for them has been arrested after her own mother turned her in to the
police . Authorities said that Jaden Charles, 25, was arrested on Tuesday and charged with two counts of grooming and two counts of aggravated
Sexual Assault of a child. The ex-science teacher, who worked at Agua Dulce Independent School District in
Texas , was charged following an investigation carried out by the city's marshal office regarding vaping on campus. The teacher allegedly supplied vapes to students, according to Agua Dulce City Marshal Joe Martinez. The alleged reports go back about a year and a half, before Charles officially started teaching, reports say. Charles has since resigned from the school. The investigation is continuing and authorities want to interview more potential victims. Mr Martinez said: "I think we're going to add up several more charges." During the investigation, some parents came forward to say they were concerned that their children had left the school with a teacher. Alice Police Department Chief Eden Garcia told KIII 3 News: "We do have parents that were concerned and made some calls about their children being with a teacher. It was reported that at the time of her arrest, Charles told police she was pregnant. Charles turned into the City Marshal's Office by her mother on Tuesday morning, before being taken to the Alice Police Department for questioning. She was booked into the Jim Wells County Jail on Tuesday afternoon and her bond, as of Wednesday morning, was $400,000 (£312,900). The teacher was accused of sexually assaulting up to 12 victims If she makes bond, Charles will be required to wear an ankle monitor and cannot have any contact with any of the victims or their families.
