Social Media blasting the former Ned's Declassified star after he went on Live this week making insensitive jokes about the
Sexual Abuse the former child star underwent. After the second half of aired Monday evening, Devon Werkheiser of the former kids' show Ned's Declassified, cracked inappropriate jokes about the newly released docuseries with onlookers Lindsey Shaw and other crew members. In the clip, Devon was seen giggling and making jabs about the abuse their former network stars endured at the hands of and . Fighting through laughter, Devon said: "Daniel we told you never to speak about that. Get back in your hole Daniel and give me your holes." Lindsey hadn't made any comments but was reportedly laughing in the background. Devon then reeled it back and said: "I'm sorry we really shouldn't joke about this. We really shouldn't," and added: "Cause this is about us. Listen, our set wasn't like that. And no it's f*****g awful. The
Drake Bell sh*t is crazy to hear. That is f****d man." While Devon shared his sympathy, Drake didn't find the jokes quite so funny and took to X, formerly
Twitter, bashing the
Actor for his unnecessary jokes surrounding his abuse. The 37-year-old star wrote: "Ned’s Declassless…this is wild…laugh it up guys…laugh it up…'Give me your h*les?!!' Really?!" Fans took to Drake's post rallying in support of the actor for sharing his vulnerable story and bashing the former Ned's Declassified cast for trying to crack jokes surrounding the situation. One fan wrote: "Washed childhood actors trying to cling onto the last bit of relevancy they have." Another added: "Thank you for sharing your truth with us after all of these years Drake it must’ve been extremely difficult to hold onto something that horrific for all these years and it’s definitely something no one should ever joke about in any way!" And a third replied: "Shame. Ned’s Declassified used to be one of my favorite shows growing up. Shame to see the lead actor’s conscience is broken." This comes as the former Drake & Josh star shared the devastating story about the alleged sexual abuse he experienced by his former Nickelodeon dialogue coach Brian Peck when he was 15 years old. In the docuseries, Drake recounted the painful experience and how trapped he felt in the position he found himself in. Once the abuse was uncovered, a sexual abuse case was filed against Brain Peck to which he pleaded no contest in court and was sentenced to 16 months in
prison. After receiving a string of backlash online, Devon shared a public apology to Drake on X. The 33-year-old podcaster wrote: "I was being an idiot today.” And added: “No way around it. I feel horrible that my dumba** was even speaking about this without seeing it. I watched Quiet on Set tonight and am horrified by the gravity of what Drake and others shared. Truly heartbroken over what my fellow actors went through. I can’t believe they weren’t protected. I’m sorry for compounding any hurt.”
