Toronto Raptors lost against the Orlando Magic, with the latter taking down a post that shared the moment. An image then circled around
Social Media showing a listing for a new social position at the Magic, with fans speculating that they'd fired their former employee for posting the image. However, the photo had clearly been edited. The photo on X showed that the listing went live 'four minutes ago', but it was actually posted on March 15, two games before the game took place. But the post saga was a joke fans have loved on social media, and the swap has shown the sense of humor that both players clearly share after Black approached the rookie and made the suggestion. then went along with it at the time and posted a picture of the jersey swap on X, although it didn't stay up for long. After earning their 40th victory of the season with a 111-96 win over the Raptors, it's likely that their social media department got into some trouble after the seemingly innocent swap had a much ruder meaning. "Class of 23'," the post read that was uploaded by the Magic. It gained 28,000 likes in a matter of minutes but the admin must have realized very quickly deleted the video after thousands of comments started flying in. They continued to post player interviews from the court but then stopped uploading for the night. Although the Magic found it too inappropriate to remain public, Dick continued the joke on his own personal social media. The Raptors guard uploaded the picture of the jersey swap to his
Instagram account with the caption: "Always good seeing my boy! @anthonyblack." He then responded to Barstool Sports, who kept their post up, by saying: "Whoopsie." It may not have been appropriate for the Magic or a professional look for any team, but it's certainly boosted Dick's popularity amongst fans. He was already adored in Toronto from the moment he attended the in a bright red, sparkly blazer. But his sense of humor has made him a fan favorite around the rest of the league, regardless of his performances. "Gradey Dick is going to go on a world tour making as many jokes with his last name as possible and I am here for it," one fan wrote on X. Dick was drafted 13th overall by the Raptors and was a consensus five-star recruit and one of the top players in the 2022 class. The 20-year-old hit 10 points against the Magic but is averaging 6.9 points per game this season. It's been an underwhelming year for the Raptors who are undergoing a transition, with high-profile players such as Pascal Siakam, OG Anunoby, and Fred VanVleet all exiting the organization within the last eight months. They're currently 23-45 and way off the pace for a play-in spot.
