A suspect has been named after a man was shot in the leg resulting in a housing estate being cordoned off. Jake Howells, 24 and of Langham Street, , has been and is due to appear at this morning. Court documents allege Howells "conspired together with other persons to cause grievous bodily harm to Jack Downey with intent to do him grievous bodily harm" following an incident at Harrops Croft, on January 5 this year. were called to the housing estate at around 2pm following . They later found a 26-year-old man with . He received treatment in hospital and was soon discharged. However,
police said he refused to cooperate with the force's investigations. Two other people have been charged in connection with the incident. Joel Hastings, 30, of Andrew Street, , has been charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life/enable another to do so and conspiring to cause GBH with intent. Daniel Howells, 24, of Field Lane, , has been charged with conspiring to cause GBH with intent. Both men appeared at Adult Remand Court on February 15. Following the
shooting, . Parents with pupils at the school were messaged following the incident and advised to pick up their children from the Stonyfield entrance due to the extensive cordon. A .
