Romelu Lukaku says it's up to to decide if he'll play in
England again. The Belgian star played for his country against England in
London on Tuesday, as the friendly finished 2-2. superstar Jude Bellingham scored late in the game to make it even, while midfielder Youri Tielemans scored twice for the visitors. Yet Lukaku, 30, stole the headlines at Wembley by producing an incredible assist for Tielemans' second goal. He crossed the ball from the right wing with the outside of this left foot before Tielemans headed home, a moment that left
Chelsea fans in awe of the striker. Lukaku is still under contract with Chelsea but is playing in
Italy on loan for the second successive year, spending this season with Roma. He's scored 18 goals in all competitions for the Italian giants, but no one knows if he will be back in London this summer. When asked if he wants to show Chelsea what he can do when he comes back, Lukaku only said: "You'll have to ask Chelsea". Lukaku is one of the most prolific European strikers of his generation. He was initially signed by Chelsea back in 2011, having started his career in
Belgium with Anderlecht. Yet he failed to impress or score during his spell with Chelsea. The Blues loaned Lukaku to West Brom for the 2012-13
Premier League season, where he scored 17 goals. He then spent the following season with Everton and scored another 15 Premier League goals to earn a permanent contract at Goodison Park. Spells at
Manchester United and Italian team Inter Milan followed before Chelsea paid £97.5 million ($123.2 million) to bring him back to England. Yet Lukaku spent just one season at Stamford Bridge before returning to Inter on a one-year loan deal. He then joined Roma for this season. Lukaku has hinted that there's more to the story about his time at Chelsea, promising to reveal it all one day. He told reporters in October: "You know that I don’t like to beat around the bush. I will speak in time, but if I really said how it all went last summer everyone would be shocked. There were moments when I really could explode, five years ago I probably would have done that too. Now I have concentrated on what I can do best – playing
Football." He also added: “During the summer I saw what people said about me and I trained to be there the day I had to perform. One day I will tell the truth. The others will also have to assume it at that time."
