Nicole Kidman spoke of her latest film, “
Boy Erased,” at a Lotos Club luncheon Friday.
It’s based on the 2016 memoir by Garrard Conley about the son of a Baptist pastor in a small American town who undergoes so-called conversion therapy.
Kidman said of the characters, “They represent that place in America where, ‘We are going to have a really good life and nothing is going to happen to us,’ and then things sort of start to fall apart.”
Russell Crowe and Lucas Hedges co-star in the Joel Edgerton film.
