George Clooney, one of Hollywood’s hottest A-list couples, have an unexpected link to
Princess Eugenie and her fiancé
Jack Brooksbank, who will become husband and wife later this year.
The royal’s husband-to-be Jack, 32, is the UK Brand Ambassador for Casamigos Tequila, the company founded by George, 57, and his pals Mike Feldman and Rande Gerber.
When Jack was appointed to the role in 2016, he said he was “thrilled” to be joining the team from his previous position at Tonteria, a Mexican-themed club in Chelsea, London.
Princess Eugenie, 27, and her beau are set to tie the knot on October 12 at St George’s Chapel in Windsor, the same venue which played host to the royal wedding of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry in May.
Amal, 40, and George could be heading to the church for the second time this year if they’re on the guest list for the upcoming wedding.
Princess Eugenie and Jack have been together for seven years after first meeting whilst skiing in Switzerland.
Her father Prince Andrew previously said of his future son-in-law: “Jack is an absolutely outstanding young man and Eugenie and he have got to know each other over a number of years, and I’m really thrilled for them.”
Speaking following the news of their engagement, he added: “I’m just completely overjoyed for them and wish them every happiness.”
Meanwhile, her mother Sarah Ferguson also gushed about Jack, telling her 109,000 Twitter followers: “We love Jack and I am so excited to have a son.”
The couple’s famous pals George and Amal secured their position as one of the world’s hottest couples when they started dating in 2013 after meeting in Lake Cuomo, Italy.
He previously told The Hollywood Reporter: “I thought she was beautiful, and I thought she was funny and obviously smart.”
The actor went on to joke Amal “probably thought I was old”.
The following year, George popped the question and they became engaged, marrying in Italy several months later.
On the guest list for the wedding were the likes of Rande and his wife Cindy Crawford, Matt Damon and John Krasinski and Emily Blunt.
In February last year, George and Amal announced they were expecting twins, and the human rights lawyer gave birth to Ella and Alexander in June.
Recently, the couple suffered a scare after Ocean’s Eleven star George collided with a car whilst riding his moped in Sardinia.
He was subsequently taken to hospital but was miraculously discharged with no broken bones.
The driver of the car told Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera he was still in shock after the incident.
“I couldn’t see anything, I had the sun in my eyes,” Antonella Viglino said. “I was just starting to turn, I’d only gone a little way over the white line.
“I’m still in shock. It all happened in an instant.”
Footage of the crash showed George flying off the front of his scooter and on to the ground after hitting the front of the vehicle.
“I recognised him as soon as he took his helmet off,” the driver continued. “I tried to stay calm, I was worried that he had hurt himself really badly.
“I could never have imagined that I would have hit George Clooney.”
