Dune: Part Two Receiving Extended IMAX Run By is sticking around IMAX theaters, with Warner Bros. Discovery announcing that the film will see an extended run in various forms of IMAX. Beginning April 19, 2024, Dune: Part Two will see an extended run in both standard IMAX and 70mm IMAX formats across the country. The announcement comes as the Denis Villeneuve-directed sequel continues to earn at the
box office, climbing to just over $660 million worldwide. The move also comes just a week after it was reported that development on a third film, Dune: Messiah, had begun. Dune: Part Two is once again directed by from a screenplay he co-wrote with Jon Spaihts. Stars and return for the film, as do Rebecca Ferguson, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, Javier Bardem, Josh Brolin, and Stephen McKinley Henderson.
