EastEnders will air some huge scenes next week - as one character suffers a heart attack. Next week, both Eddie and Gloria Knight will return to our screens when George is asked to testify in court. George is shocked next week when he receives a call from the CPS to say that Gloria has given information about Eddie, and she later arrives to the
Queen Vic to encourage him to speak out about his father and what he's done. However, George ends up hearing his mum taking a private phone call from his dad and, fuming with her, he orders her out of his life for good. Later in the week, George gets ready to testify in the trial and Cindy tries to get him to speak to his mum - having spoken to her secretly herself - but he flatline refuses. Eddie calls him to the
boxing Den and tries to convince him not to speak at the trial but after being angered by his dad, George tells him that Gloria was the one who encouraged him to testify. Elsewhere, George continues to struggle to talk to Elaine about what's going on but she remains strong and, along with Cindy, convinces George to testify. When he is cross-examined by Eddie's defence, Gloria shouts out in court and Eddie is fuming. When the court takes a break, Eddie looks over menacingly and as Gloria rushes out, she collapses. She asks George to go to the flat as there's some important information there about his childhood. After a heart to heart with Phil, George heads back to the hospital to be with his mum. Will she make it through this, or has the pressure from Eddie become too much? The arrival of George's parents Eddie and Gloria caused a lot of trouble for George as he found out he had been farmed as a child, which was where kids were advertised for money by their parents. It was later revealed that Eddie had killed George's biological father to stop him and George's biological mother from taking the baby back from them. Speaking on the storyline at the time, Executive Producer Chris Clenshaw said: " EastEnders has a rich history of telling challenging yet truthful stories which reflect past and present events. George Knight’s storyline will force him to question the identity his parents gave him from childhood as he discovers the true means by which he was adopted. It was imperative that we worked with experts and people with lived experience of farming to ensure the storyline is handled as sensitively and as accurately as possible." * Follow Mirror Celebs and TV on TikTok , Snapchat ,
