That's because it's been revealed as the home of the world's best cruise destination, Tampa, where you can expect the likes of white sand beaches, turquoise waters and 31C weather in May. Tampa has been crowned as the world's best cruise holiday by travel experts at Avanti Travel Insurance who ranked destinations based on factors such as value for money, impressive landmarks, good food to be found and the range of attractions for couples or families. It's worth noting that Tampa is a major cruise hub, so often you'll find itineraries departing from there rather than

For example you'll find plenty of theme parks and museums sure to be a hit with families, as well as heaps of shops and restaurants serving up some of that mouthwatering US fare. However, one of the biggest draws has to be the beaches, with Clearwater Beach proving particularly popular with visitors thanks to its shimmering waters and pristine sands. "Wonderful beach, crystal clear water and nice amenities close to pier 60," one happy holidaymaker wrote on Tripadvisor . "Lots of restaurants, parking hard to find and lots of traffic so give plenty of time to get in and out of this area." Meanwhile a local resident added: "There is something for everyone at Clearwater Beach besides the beach, including numerous restaurants, good
music at various hotels and restaurants, plus the Jolly Trolley to take you around the beach. As a local, I love going there as much as possible to relax, and especially Shephards Resort for dancing. There is also Pier 60 with a lot of vendors displaying their wares."
