Over the holiday weekend, many received their money early, reports Wales Online . However, this is set to change soon, with payments scheduled to go back to their regular dates. Bank holidays often affect the payments of millions of people, and it's rare to receive a DWP payment during this time. But there's good news - despite the bank holidays, your payments should never be late. Instead, the DWP ensures that claimants and those receiving the State Pension get their due payments earlier so they are never left without money. Here, we explain when payments will return to normal after the disruption over the Easter Weekend bank holiday. Read more: Millions will get £902 extra from DWP after Easter as basic state pension rates rise Read more: Check if you're one of millions owed pension compensation after WASPI ruling When DWP payments will return to normal As Good Friday (March 29) and Easter Monday (April 1) were both national holidays, anyone expecting to receive any of the following payments from the DWP on either of those dates should have received their money early on Thursday, March 28 instead: Universal Credit State pension Pension credit Disability living allowance Personal independence payment Attendance allowance Carer's allowance Employment support allowance Income support Jobseeker's allowance If you were due a payment before Good Friday, then you should have been paid as usual. From April 2, all payments should return to normal - with those expecting to receive deposits on their specific days all getting money on schedule. The four-day Easter Weekend always impacts benefit payments because of where it falls in the week, with Friday and Monday being some of the busiest for DWP amounts being sent out. Now that the first two bank holidays of the year have come and gone, attention now turns to May. In May, there are two bank holidays, which will see those expecting payments on either May 6 or May 27, paid early. The next bank holidays in
