Swansea City head coach Luke Williams says they'll take the point despite being frustrated by the manner of the goal conceded at Sheffield Wednesday. Jamal Lowe's second-half effort cancelled out Bailey Cadamarteri's close-range finish in the opening 45 minutes to claim a share of the spoils at Hillsborough. It wasn't the high-octane display seen against Cardiff City in the South Wales derby before the international break, with Williams conceding it "was not a top performance from us". But a point on the road isn't to be sniffed at, with the head coach saying he couldn't fault the players' efforts. Out of possession in the first half the intensity was there, but with the ball there was not quite enough of that. “There is frustration to concede from a set-piece, and then in the second half the game becomes a bit more like
basketball because we had to push really hard to get back into the game. “Then we were pushing to try and win, because we don’t want to come here and not go to try and win and settle for a draw. “But when it became more open, it brought the crowd back into the game and they caused us a lot of problems. “We did not cope too well in that last 20 minutes of the game, so it was not a top performance from us, for sure. “But to come here and get a point, we are probably happy even though I would have preferred all three. The performance was not there today, but the effort was there from the players.” The result sees Swansea on to 47 points for the campaign so far and in 15th place in the second tier. It was two goals in two for Lowe after his strike against Cardiff City a fortnight ago and Williams says the striker is giving him and his coaches a selection problem to think about. “Jamal is giving us a headache, no doubt,” Williams added. “He is such a gifted player and he did brilliantly because he reacted so well to stay calm and finish the action off. “He got the one in the Cardiff game where he showed so much quality and so much composure. He is a brilliant player and he is giving me a really good problem. “And Carl (Rushworth) is top, for a lot of the game he was not particularly required, but he did his
Job brilliantly well.”
