Social Media lately, you might have seen the viral 'crookie' trend which has us drooling every time we see it. If you don't know what it is, a 'crookie' is a mix between a cookie and a croissant. And if you're salivating just reading it, imagine eating one! Sometimes though it can be pretty expensive to buy from bakeries - and if you don't live nearby one, you could be feeling some major FOMO (fear of missing out). But if you live near a supermarket like Asda, you can make multiple for cheap. Taking just two ingredients , one TikTok by Asda themselves shows them using their own brand of Milk Choc Chip Cookie Dough which costs £1.80 and of course, a croissant which can be picked up at the bakery as individuals for under £1 or in packets for £1.40. To make them, all you need to do is slice the delicious pastry open and two slices of cookie dough to the inside. After this, you can pop it in the oven for 10-12 minutes at 200C or 180C Fan. This is based off the cookie dough cookie instructions which reads: Preheat oven to 200°C/400°F/Fan 180°C/Gas 6 Remove packaging and cut into six equal pieces Place the cubes onto a baking tray, approximately 5cm apart Place on middle shelf in preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or as stated in your recipe Leave to stand for five minutes Join the Daily Record
