Draymond Green's ejection left Golden State Warriors teammate Steph Curry in a state of shock on Wednesday, before they went on to beat the Orlando Magic 101-93. has now registered 21 ejections throughout his career, the second-most in history behind Rasheed Wallace (29). is used to seeing his teammate let his emotions get the better of him, but Wednesday's ejection came as a surprise to the two-time MVP. Curry was an emotional figure, pacing around the court with his head in his hands before using his jersey to cover his face. The ejection came as a shock to everyone seeing as it was inside four minutes, but Curry knows how much it could cost the Warriors in the hunt for a play-in spot. to referee Ray Acosta, who called a foul against Warriors forward Andrew Wiggins on forward Paolo Banchero. Green continued to express his anger towards Acosta, who then gave the 34-year-old a technical foul. Warriors head coach Steve Kerr then called a timeout, but Green continued to argue with Acosta as he questioned why it was a foul on Wiggins in the first place. As Green continued, Acosta gave him a second technical which ended his night before it properly began. It's been a difficult season for the Warriors, and their position in the standings reflects that. The recently dominant Warriors are tenth in the Western Conference, just holding on to the final play-in spot with the Houston Rockets in hot pursuit of their place. At this stage of the season, Kerr needs all of his star players available to ensure they are in a position to make the postseason. But Green has already been given a harsh suspension this season, and there's a possibility that his latest ejection could lead to more time away from the court. Curry couldn't hide his emotions, with some fans speculating that he used his jersey to hide his face due to the 36-year-old shedding tears. It was Green who cried back in December after he received a 12-game suspension from the
NBA after hitting Phoenix Suns center Jusuf Nurkic. His punishment was extreme due to the NBA classing him as a 'repeat offender', something Green vowed to fix. Green revealed that he cried when meeting Kerr after the suspension was confirmed, and said on his : "Coach Kerr came to visit me after shootaround and we sat in the yard, he cried, I cried. "Because there's a bond there that... (we've) seen it all. Seen the highest of the highs and the lowest of the lows. He said to me, 'I want you to end this the right way, I want us to end this the right way, and you're not doing that right now. So I want you to get into the space to where you can do that, and we can do that'." Green later apologized publicly for his actions after speaking with coach Kerr, which led him to say: "Maybe this is a new Draymond." Thankfully for the Warriors, his latest ejection didn't impact their performance, but it could have repercussions.
